The applications of this system are related to the loading and weighing needs of various industries, for instance the concrete and asphalt industry.
The system is responsible for keeping track of customers, orders, trucks/ships and delivered quantities. It also controls and monitors the loading process.The method of weighing depends on the particular installation. In some cases, the system weighs trucks entering and leaving the area in order to calculate the net weight. In other cases, the system loads the truck (or ship) with a predetermined mass of asphalt, concrete, gravel, grains or whatever the product.
Originally, DAVE was made under contract with the Norwegian company Niels A. Stang AS. Later, I took over all rights as well as all costs related to the maintenance of the system. Niels A. Stang AS had the exclusive distribution rights until 1998, when they decided to close down their business. At current, the system is distributed by the Norwegian company WAAGE Instrument.
