The system also functions as an alarm so that in the case of equipment malfunction the proper people will be alerted to the problem while there is still time to salvage the food.
Someone else originally made this system and my job was to rid the system of numerous bugs as well as extend the functionality. The system consists of several Visual Basic applications and most of them had to be rewritten in order to make the system stable.
